Skosh Films, under the RSG umbrella with ResQ, is thrilled to film at the Phoenix Bat Cave on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, just in time for the evening bat emergence. Located near 40th Street and Camelback along the Arizona Canal Trail, this flood control tunnel transforms into a summer home for 10,000 to 20,000 Mexican Free-Tailed Bats from May to October. Each evening around sunset, these bats soar out in droves, creating a breathtaking natural display that’s a hidden gem in the heart of Phoenix.
Our team will be there to capture the magic—thousands of bats spiraling into the twilight, set against the desert landscape, with educational signs from the Arizona Game and Fish Department encouraging quiet viewing nearby. We’ll film the bats’ graceful exodus and, if time allows, interview local experts or visitors about this unique phenomenon. Skosh Films is crafting a production that showcases this “cool thing” as a celebration of nature’s wonders, bringing the Phoenix Bat Cave’s spectacle to audiences far and wide. Join us in experiencing this urban wildlife marvel—follow Skosh Films for updates on this project and catch the final film soon. Want to collaborate on capturing nature’s stories? today!
